The Gallery Inn is the Headquarters of El Regimiento Fijo de Puerto Rico – Historical Reenactment Commemorating the Defense of San Juan during the British Siege of 1797 & Celebration of the Age of Enlightenment within the Walled City.
El Regimiento Fijo de Puerto Rico es una corporación sin fines de lucro dedicada a la educación sobre la historia y cultura del siglo 18. La organización está compuesta totalmente de voluntarios de la comunidad. Los costos de la recreación histórica que presentamos son sufragados con fondos derivados de contribuciones por nuestros miembros, aportaciones de la comunidad, empresas privadas y agencias de gobierno cuya generosidad hace todo posible. •
The Regimiento Fijo de Puerto Rico is a non profit corporation dedicated to the education of 18th century history and culture. The organization is composed in its entirety of community volunteers. The costs of this historical reenactment is covered through contribution from its members, donations from the community, private enterprise and government agencies whose generosity makes everything possible.

San Juan Annual Events
January:
San Sebastian Festival is held the third week of January along San Sebastian Street in Old San Juan.
March:
Taste of Rum features rum tastings, music, exhibits and dancing. Sponsored by Rums of Puerto Rico this event takes place in Old San Juan.
April:
Saborea food festival featuring food tastings with top island chefs as well as internationally renowned chefs and TV personalities
May/June:
Heineken Jazz Festival – a four day concert held in the open-air Tito Puente amphitheater in San Juan
June:
San Juan Bautista Day – week-long festival including music, dancing, religious processions, parades, beach bonfire parties. At midnight on the first day of festivities, it is the custom to walk backward into the ocean three times to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck.
August/September:
San Juan International Billfish Tournament. Week long deep-sea fishing competition held at Club Nautico in Maramar, San Juan.
December:
Bacardi Artisans’ Fair held at the Bacardi plant in Catano.
